Final.

Hoptown has several players that pass the look test. There is no reason for them to finish winless. This could be the head coach's first and last season.

Although the score indicates otherwise, Fort Campbell didn't play thier best ball on Friday night. There were some silly mistakes on a big punt return that coast Shahid another return....and others on a big run by Tucker.

Overall, I'm happy they have some momentum going into the game with South Warren.

Also a good win for the team to get Coach Berner's 100th win.

Here's his resume from the local Clarksville paper:

• Berner is 100-23 in 10 seasons.

• He is No. 2 in wins in the program’s history, second only to Patterson.

• Under Berner, Fort Campbell has won three state championships.

• Under Berner, the Falcons have had winning streaks of 22 and 20 games.

• Under Berner, Fort Campbell has just one losing season, last year’s 5-7 team that did reach the second round of the playoffs.

• The Falcons have reached the playoffs in each of Berner’s 10 seasons.

• The Falcons have won six district championships.

• The Falcons have reached the third round of the playoffs five times and the second round seven times.

• Fort Campbell has six seasons of 10 or more wins.

• Fort Campbell has produced two Mr. Kentucky football winners.

Great info, Bill.

Old-school folks think of Hop-town as a state power, albeit one fallen upon hard times. I'd be curious to know what FC's record is against Hop-town with and without Berner, as well as what amount of his success has been had at the Tigers' expense. Just an honest question; not insinuating anything insidious.

Congrats to Coach Berner; one of the most successful coaches in the state and a father-figure to his team during long periods when their fathers are deployed!!!

Berner is 100-27 in 10 seasons. Paper was incorrect.

Berner is 3 and 0 against Hopkinsville.
