You don't think Shaw putting up big numbers last weekend was the difference between Garcia getting suspension #6 and Garcia FINALLY being dismissed? Spurrier tried Shaw against ECU with poor results. If Shaw had played like crap in the UK game and Garcia ended up in the game, I think he'd still be on the team.

I agree, Spurrier has been against Garcia for quite a while now and if there was a quarterback capable of replacing him prior to now, it would of happened. I do not defend the things that Garcia has done outside of the sport, but I hope Spurrier's impulsive decision doesn't crush the season; the win and Shaw's proficiency was against UK, just saying.

I'm sure it didn't hurt, but some things may even be beyond what Spurrier can control if the AD is sick of his off field behavior.
