GOP Debate

UKMF,

You label yourself as a libertarian (or as a Libertarian), as such what specific beliefs do you feel Romney has that are libertarian ideals?

Not much, if anything really. My support for Romney stems from two things:

1) - No Libertarian candidate has a chance in hell to get elected, and while I agree that will never change if people don't support them regardless (I voted for Barr last election), I feel that we need someone who has a clue how to fix the economy that is electible.

2) - Based on Romney's past in business and his success there in turning companies around, I feel he possesses a greater knowledge and understanding of the economy and how to turn things around than most other candidates (with the exception of maybe Cain, however his 9-9-9 plan scares me).

So while I don't necessarily agree with his policies on a majority of issues, I feel the economy is our biggest concern and that he's the most capable of all candidates to fixing or improving it.

Thank you for your answer. Regarding point #1, in a heavily red state doesn't a vote towards a 3rd party candidate make more sense though? Whomever the GOP nominates will win KY going away but a 3rd party vote could lead to ballot access which then means there could be a shot in hell...one day.

Has Romney talked about spending cuts and if so, how specific on where the spending occur has he been?

The only two GOP candidates I know for sure who have addressed this are Paul and Johnson. Which is why if still registered R I would probably cast my vote towards one of them in the primary.

Mrs. Bachmann said we are stuck in a 1986 era.

Uh oh.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Debates should not have an audience.
