NBA Officially Cancels Games

Featured Replies

I am still with the players but they have no leverage. They have already caved to all of the owners demands and did so believing they could get 52.5% from the owners. Now it is just a matter of time before the players turn on each other which is what David Stern and the owners want. Kobe has already said he'd take a 50/50 split. If it was 57/43 and the owner's percentage is bumped up to 47.5 they have gained 100s of millions already. But yet, they want more? And it's the player's faults? Whatever. This is a lockout, not a strike. I put it at 90/10 the owner's faults. They are the dummies passing out stupid contracts to the Eddie Curry's of the NBA, not the players.

That being said, this lockout is killing me. I don't see how players and owners can coexist after this but it is a business. I guess. As a future union officer when it comes time to negotiate contracts I don't anticipate being to friendly with many company people if I feel they are trying to jerk us around in contract negotiations. Believe that.

And now David Stern says the players have until Wednesday to accept 51% or then the offer goes to 47%.

But it's the player's fault.....whatever. David Stern sucks.

Apparently they have made "significant" progress today.
