Louisville Invitational Tournament

LIT rankings will be based on all games through next weekend (December 23). What teams are already in and what teams are on the bubble and need to win their in-state games in the next 7 days? Ballard is 2-2; Fairdale is 2-3 Trinity is 1-4; Desales is 1-3; Butler 2-3; Manual 1-3. Do these teams have to win to get in or are they out? Does Valley have a shot at 3-2? Moore at 3-1? CAL at 4-1? Eastern at 3-1?Western 3-1?

It is based on strength of schedule, but wins count better than losses in most instances.

Here is who I say is in a week before the door is closed.

Doss/PRP/Iroquios/Male/Fern Creek/J-town/St. X/Eastern/Ballard

On the Bubble and need some wins in the next week: Fairdale/Moore/CAL/Trinity/Butler/Manual/Western

Top 12 go.

First of all, your facts need to be corrected before making predictions. Manual is 4 - 1, beating both Trinity and Trigg County in their last 2 games. I would say Doss, Manual, Male, and PRP are all locks to get in.

Hey, I'm dyslexic! Sue Me! I stand corrected!Way to go Crimsons! I'm glad someone is paying attention! No lovin to the Raiders yet, huh? I guess they received the early season easy schedule for the new coach. Tough loss for Doss last night. It just shows how awesome coach Braden is at John Hardin. Long time great one. Doss is by far the quickest team in Jefferson County this year. They have to be the #1 seed in the Jefferson County area right now. Jeffersontown looks awefully good as well. N respect for Coach Morrow, huh? Maybe the best coach in Jefferson County.

What is your mailing address and I will send the legal notice certified mail.

We also need to include Louisville Central in the LIT and you are right about Jeffersontown. J-Town should be an invitee to the party at the Gardens too. Eastern beat Ballard, but lost to Fern Creek. Fern Creek walloped North Bullitt last night but Creek was spanked by St. X. Ballard has to be considered a bubble team at this point, but a good showing in the KOB could put them in great position too. Manual lost to Doss, but is 4 - 0 since then and beat Trigg County at the Blue Chip Classic in Lexington by nearly double digits whereas Male played them close. WESTERN LOST TO BETH HAVEN. Butler is not in the LIT and CAL will not be either.

Sounds like you're a well informed fan who has all the info. I hope the stripes don't infer an official. So Doss, Manual, J-town, and Central have to be the top seeds. One new thing will be that all 16 teams will play in first 2 days instead of having the out of towners wait until Friday. That is something that might change the outcome. I do not have a mailing address, just a spot in the corner of a gym. Poor outsight I guess also. How could I forget Central under such a fine coach like Doug Bibby? He may be the best...

Forget about Male in the LIT. A local AD told me they were banned from it this season for playing too many games last year. I don't remember that being part of the penalties last year but it's true.

Manual, Moore and Trinity will get in. Trinity has four losses by like a total of 10 points to three good teams and Manual had a narrow loss to Warren Central. Moore might be the best unknown team in the city

We need to tone down some of the rhetoric in this thread before it gets out of hand.

The Male ban is true.

What rankings and how are they determined, or what is the selection process, in being able to play in the LIT, to clear up for those who do not know.

Jtown will get the top seed in the LIT hands down They are 7-0 with a winning margin of 30.5 points per game. I think the other 3 top seeds will be prp,Ballard, and Doss.

I like your four choices with Male out of the picture. With the change this year, out of town teams can play Tuesday or Wednesday instead of coming in on Friday and Saturday. So I'm not sure top seeds play 9-12 seeds or a mix with out of town teams. It is a different format.
