Im not predicting a upset by all means but dont be surprised if the score is some closer than alot are predicting.

 

Casey tries to control tempo with their offense. If they are moving the ball, they will go no huddle or they will use a lot of clock and keep the ball on the ground. If they do not turn it over, they can possible keep it close for a half, like they did against Simon Kenton. If they cough it up, it will get ugly quick. If they can eat some clock, Bell's depth and athleticism won't take over until the second half. Either way, Bell wins 35-14.

Casey Co. has a nice team. The new Coach has done a good job. Casey will not be able to line up and run the ball over Bell. They will have to throw the Ball to have a chance to win and I don't think they can throw it well enough. Coach Wayne will load the Box with 8 and they are 8 good people, Casey will have to do something out of their passing game to have a chance.

If you guys are right, and Casey is unable to run the ball "between the 20's", it will get ugly in the first half. Casey has just thrown for 271 yards in six games, so passing is a small part of the Rebel offense.

 

However, Alex Bolin is one of the top running backs in the state in 3A (1019 yards thru 6 games) and has ran for at least 100 yards in every game. He has done this against 6A Simon Kenton, and 2A powers Prestonburg and Green County,so that's why I think he can do it against Bell.

 

But, not to sound like a broken record, regardless of what happens in the first half, athleticism and depth takes over in the second half and Bell pulls away. If Casey turns it over, it gets ugly in the first 12-15 minutes.

They are a good group but none of Casey's former games this year have the talent Bell Co. has. #10 is a good Back but I don't think he will rush for 100 yds aganist Bell.

Not just about the back, also about the line. Casey has three or four linemen that could play for anybody. Only problem is, they play both ways. That's why I say depth will take over.

Probably not. I have only missed two Casey games since 2002, but this will probably be # 3.

That is not a good indication for Casey. Including P'burg they have not played anyone close to Bell Co.!!!!

Not a good comparison because many of the starting Casey skill players were nowhere to be found on the offensive side of the ball from the middle of the third quarter on. Alex Bolin, the Rebels' leading rusher, (top five in the state in 3A with 1019 yards) only touched the ball once after scoring with 8:45 to play in the third quarter. QB Will Hatter was not under center much in the second half either.

 

My point is, Casey could have scored more, but chose to play JV kids because they will need the varsity experience next year. Coach Marple did the same thing against Clinton and Taylor in blow-out wins.

 

As for Bell, they will be Bell.....enough said.
