Without a doubt she hurt the public image. If anything, River Fields needs to reconsider their public face if that's the norm for her.

I think putting the pressure on River Fields is the important thing, the only way to do that is to knock out their support structure. The thing is, she couldn't possibly give their email addresses (and I don't like the idea of individual harassment) out simply because I doubt that River Fields would ever publish that or would even be required to publish that. I have no problem though with making public everyone who has supported them over the course of the last 20-30 years.

I had heard rumors about Yarmuth's connections to the whole thing, but I really didn't want to go there and say anything about it without any kind of confirmation. I am known as a non-Yarmuth fan so I didn't want this to come off as an attack on him.

So, I hear this will take a minimum of 3 months to repair, if nothing more significant is found. Many more months if more major repairs are needed...and years if it needs to be rebuilt. i can deal with that...I guess. :lol:

 

Today I took the Brandenburg route...a couple of advantages...gas was at LEAST .09 cheaper in Brandenburg than anywhere I've seen in Indiana or Louisville, and the drive is super easy, and takes me through some beautiful scenery.

 

As to FKY's question about John Yarmuth, I (again), have no opposition to River Fields as an organization as a whole. I don't know the extent of his involvement with them, other than he served on their board at one time. And to be honest, even with this frustration and my opposition to them in this one area, I have voted, and will continue to vote for him for many other reasons than getting a new bridge. If that were my "hot-button" issue, I'd have voted for Anne, as she was the catalyst in getting the funding we've gotten so far.

It may be too far to consider, but you could take 41S to 64E to Corydon. Turn right at the top of the exit and stay on that road (Hwy 135) and you'll cross the Ohio @ Brandenburg. Stay on that road to US 60 and turn left onto 1638 to Dixie Hwy, and turn left. Take that to 265E. Take 265E 6.5 miles to 65N.

 

I don't know the road number of the road from the bridge on the Kentucky side. I do know you just stay on the same road you exit onto from the bridge. I do know the rest though. Also, the drive down 1638 is beautiful, taking you past Otter Creek State Park, and it puts you out on Dixie Highway @ Muldraugh, which is past most of the Dixie Highway traffic in the Fort Knox area.

It only added about a half an hour to my normal, non-Shermageddon commute, so it's not too bad.
