This morning the president of River Fields was on Mandy Connell's radio show and she was absolutely infuriated at the insinuation that they are the reason behind the delays on the new bridges. She barely let Mandy get a word in, anyone who has ever listened to Mandy's show will understand how difficult that can be. In fact Mandy had to mute her at one point to just ask a question. After this incident Mandy more or less has declared war on River Fields for the sake of getting something started for the bridges. I hope that she can make some level of difference.

I actually used to listen to Francene some until she passed away. Never tried to figure out what filled that time slot. Is the show any good?

She isn't like Francene at all really. I do like her but she is much more overtly right leaning than Fancene was, I was always sure she leaned to the right but she would never come right out and say it. She is definitely more abrasive than Francene was though.

Went to Georgetown today and turn it on right when Mandy muted her the first time so I missed most of it. Anyone that wants to hear it again she said she would replay tomorrow at 9:00. I hated that I missed it. I started to become more intrigued by this bridge crap earlier in the year when I started makeing weekly trips to Louisville. I've always heard about River Fields but until this mess I assumed it was a person. :idunno:

That was fantastic but Mrs. Cory probably isn't going to gain any sympathizers. And this is from someone who isn't sure they are in favor of an East End Bridge (or Downtown either).

I relistened to part of it today and I definitely think she hurt herself and their public image in that little tirade.

 

Mandy is more confrontational, took some getting used to for me but I do like her. Francene was my favorite host though, I still miss her.

I think putting the pressure on River Fields is the important thing, the only way to do that is to knock out their support structure. The thing is, she couldn't possibly give their email addresses (and I don't like the idea of individual harassment) out simply because I doubt that River Fields would ever publish that or would even be required to publish that. I have no problem though with making public everyone who has supported them over the course of the last 20-30 years.
