I've been around athletics for a long time, and I've never seen a coach intentionally screw talented players. Makes no sense. With a couple of recent regional finals appearances, I'm going to assume Coach Roberts knows what he's doing. Every program has disgruntled players and parents who overestimate the ability of former little league all-stars.

Correct me if im wrong they went to the 10th region finals twice under roberts right? The region owened by Harrison Co and everyone else in there is about a 500 team every year and gets smashed by 9th region schools. If your a school like Scott and Campbell you should make the region finals at least once or twice every 5 years. Geeesh. Heard a rumor that there maybe a realignment taking place. Heard that the KHSAA people that made the realignment in 2006 had no clue Scott, Simon, and dixie are all within 10 to 15 mins of each other and they are all in separate regions and they want to fix it.

So it's the old, " He just got to the regional finals twice but never won it, so he couldn't possibly know what he is doing" slam. In my opinion, it takes a lot of talent and a little luck to win the region, ...any region. From what I know about Coach Roberts, he appears very competent. I hope he does well. SK hasn't been raking in many regional titles that I am aware of. Were there a lot of applicants to choose from that have regional titles?

I agree with you that the alignment is screwed up.
