Joe was always the drunk one on the air.

IMO he has definitely been eratic announcing this year versus previous years. I have never been a big fan of his but he didn't bother me announcing games in previous years. This year he has become irritating with his over the edge reactions and just flat out wrong statements at times. I didn't really think about there being some kind of personal problem with him but this is all very strange. If there is a personal issue that is not being publicized, I don't think that is right. He is a public figure. I guarantee you that if there were something wrong with a player, no matter what it is, we would know about it. The fact is the truth is going to come out at some point in time so no need to try and keep it hush hush.

I don't doubt that one bit. He seems like a good guy who would be very gracious if you met him in person. Hopefully if there is some personal issue, it is something that he overcomes quickly.

I haven't come to that conclusion at all. I've just come to the conclusion that the Reds are hiding something.

Still speculating but it is the only explanation that makes sense. If he were fired, that would be news we would know. If he were just off as part of the rotation or due to other duties for football, surely Sheldon/Day/Fay etc. would gladly shre that explanation. Going off LRCW's info that Sheldon, Day and Fay are mum on the question makes you think there is something being kept quiet for some reason. What else could explain it?

Sheldon finally answered by saying "He has entered the witness protection program". It's pretty clear to me that there is a story none of them want to tell.

My guess it has something to do with his Fox schedule? He did a game this past weekend for Fox and does another one this coming weekend.

 

I will say if it turns out I'm right he is going to be looking for some cat from South Point.
