Which he might be so bad that Quinn is just better than him. I don't know why people find it so hard to believe that Quinn may have improved, or atleast improved enough to be better than Tebow. Lets not forget it took Quinn about 3 years in college before he ever started doing well in college either. So if they moved Tebow to third string, its probably because he just is not as good as Quinn right now and not just because they want to quiet the fans. Plus if they did it for the reasons you say. Then they are just flat out dumb, because say Orton gets hurt if Tebow was really better than Quinn then you would think they would rather have Tebow going in. If they did what you said, it's not doing whats best for the team. There much better chance of Quinn just performing better than Tebow in practice, than them just doing it to quiet fans.

 

Did you miss where Clyde said the 3rd stringer can play even if the other two don't get hurt? Tebow will get some sitautional snaps. They just don't want the fans believing he's the franchise savior right now when Orton is clearly better than him and Quinn might be. I'd be surprised if Orton does get hurt and misses time if Tebow isn't given the job.

You just read way to much into things. I know they don't want fans believing he is the franchise savior, however them making him 3rd string is not going to change their minds at all. If Orton struggles guess who they are going to want? It will be Tebow, it wouldn't matter if he is 2nd string, 3rd string, or a practice squad player they would want to see Tebow play. As long as he is a Bronco they are going to want to see him play especially if say Orton struggles.

 

So if Tebow is 3rd string right now, it is simply because Quinn has looked better than him. No more, no less. Shoot someone even said if all things were equal that the rookie free agent QB has even looked better than Tebow in practice. So it's not hard to believe that maybe the reason got demoted is simply because he just is not getting it done...Lets not forget Tebow came from a system that Urban Meyer ran that basically made every QB look great. That system even made Alex Smith look amazing and got him to be the #1 pick out of Utah for crying out loud. It's not hard to believe that maybe Tebow was a product of the system, and why he has struggled and looked so bad in practice. His flaws which is passing, can't be covered up as well like it did in their system which produced guys with speed getting wide open.
