walrus
Heard a radio interview with Jackson tonight and then confirmed he is signing with the Braves next Wednesday. Congrats and good luck to Jackson. A long road ahead for a 17 year old, but a great opportunity to learn to play the game the professional way at a young age. Clyde
Congrats to the young man. No shock to me that he chose pro ball over UC.
Sportsfan 99
Anyone know how much money he got for signing? What round was he drafted? It slips my mind.

I bet he does not get much if anything at all..
oldtimeballer
He's going to get a great lesson in life at a very young age. He will be able to handle it, plus he has some inside knowledge to help him. Good luck Jackson, hope to see you play at the "big" level. (A couple of free tickets would be nice.) walrus
It is official. I was fortunate enough to be with family, former little league coaches, high school coaches and friends that were at the Laumann house last night for the signing. Seem to be real happy with signing bonus and College Scholarship Plan that was negotiated into contract. It's off to Orlando Wide World of Sports where the Braves Gulf Coast League and Spring Training facility is located. Good Luck to Jackson and congrats to him for his hard work.
