I like it, the Pitcher has enough to worry about, it gives more offense to the game, allows aging players to play or slightly injured player to play. We had it in softball and it helped the game, if the Pitchers could do more with the bat, but they can't even in high school level the pitchers don't want to hit. But I'd like to see both leagues do it.

 

Yesterday the Yanks had to pull Rivera from the game to hit for him, Yanks lost next inning. But he also had two outs and let them tie it up.

Hey--he hadn't blown a save against the Mets since 1999....he's allowed to have one blown save per team every decade or so.
