Cronin wants to build legacy

Featured Replies

All I know at this point is he and any kid like that cannot wear a uniform that says Cincinnati on it. Regardless if he is from 10 mins down the road of Clifton. He does not represent the "C." Gotta get rid of the that and just go from there. Based upon Cronin's post game speech he was basically saying, he is not going to have the rep and players that Huggy Bear had.

I agree, however this situation has set the program back. And set them back from what? They really haven't been even decent in years. Everyone has said what a wonderful job Cronin has done with getting the program on the right track. Really? This is the right track? Track that leads where? If UC fans want to look at a program that was in dire straights and got a guy to lead them back, just head west to Bloomington. Crean has done much more in less time than Cronin can even think about.

But how will dismissing a couple of players turn into a positive? How will the season turn out if those guys are gone?

IMO it's not how the season turns out, but how they move forward from this ugly incident. Anything less than a Final Four run (not happening) would erase this from being the lasting memory of the 2011-2012 Bearcats. If Cronin can get rid of those who are the distraction and move forward, maybe recruiting won't be hurt as bad as I think it's going to be. It goes deeper than that, though. Like Cronin said these guys don't respect the fact that their education is being paid for. The university and this program need guys that do.

Cronin has not got to where the prgram takes a step back, nad he gets to move forward. A move backward for the program at this point should trigger a change.

Agree again. Keep in mind, these are Mick's guys. He has recruited these types of characters, and now he's telling us they don't respect the program or univesrity. Hello, Mick, they're you're guys.

maybe it does...but after what he said post-game yesterday I'm willing to see what he does in the immediate future to preserve things.

That's fine. You will continue to support a mediocre program. I wouldn't be fine with it, but hey that's just me.
