Oh and I forgot Holmes. All those schools are in no particular order, although I do think Ballard and Trinity are going to be very very good.

So what does Scott County's win here and Moore's win at DS tell us if anything for next year. I realize Ballard, Trinity and a few others weren't at either of these and they have to be near the top of next years favorites. Who else would you put up there. I really really really like Trinity but coming out of Louisville anything is possible. Moore has Mackale McKay correct? I really like that kid also. Scott County surprised me by winning this tourney so that tells me they may not be as down as people thought. Ballard should be pretty good as well.

 

I do expect the winner of the Sweet 16 to be a Louisville team.

I agree with Trinity and anything being possible in Louisville. I hope to get to see Trinity down in Fort Myers at the City of Palms. I watched Scott County online and they are solid. Not great but solid. Very well-coached, good defense, enough scoring to keep them close with their pressure and defense. Ballard returns a lot!

Mason county and Perry County Central .

I dont know if Scott co will ever be real down. Losing one starter from last year takes a little of the rebounding away. They play such an uptempo style and everyone of the starters can handle the ball very well. Their incoming sophomore class went 30-1 last year. The PRP and Scott Co was a classic. The Panthers split with Trinity this summer. I think Station has so much talent but it looks like there is no chemistry there like last year. I dont know if some of kids kids are coachable. Saw Coach Allen call several plays and they ran what they wanted. I saw Lafayette this week they are missing alot of pieces. I hope Coach Mendenhal can get them on the same page. Losing Snoop to Bourbon hurt some.

 

Back to Louisville...shuffling the teams in the 6th and 7th is bad news for some teams. Leave PRP in the 6th and they walk away with the region this year. Moore was supppose to be good but not this early. Dont know how much to tell on Saturday at Derek Smith. I heard it was very sloppy in the final four and final. Teams were exhausted playing so many games to get to the final. From my understanding there will be several teams coming to Lexington for state because of the format on Saturday at Louisville. Thats why PRP came to state. Has anyone heard how the Frankfort tournament went this week.

Good stuff hoopology! Thanks so very much. You are correct about Scott County, plus they play so many kids they all get experience all the way up. Watched a little of their JV play too while winning the JV part and they as well were impressive. The system is in place and is run very well all the way up. I had a great situation here in Florida like that on a smaller scale, that looking back I should have never left. Yea it does seem the DS needs to go to a little longer format to keep fatigue from making the games less well-played.

Mason Co went 19-13 last year and lost to Pendleton Co in the semi-finals of the region. They lost Setty, Gilbert, Pawsat and Menefee. They won't be the top team in the 10th region let alone top in the state.

Thanks for the info. I knew they had a pretty good team last year, but had no idea what they returned. I know they are normally a very good program, so I just kind of threw them into the mix. I wouldn't have put Moore in there until there showing at DS. I should have thrown Lex. Catholic in their too. Should be another very interesting and exciting year in Ky. HS basketball.

Watched Louisville Moore play at Louisville St. Xavier the other day and was highly and I mean highly impressed!
