April 18, 201115 yr I don't want to say I condone drinking in high school or say it's completely unacceptable, because I would then be a hypocrite. From an unbiased perspective, I have seen kids come to college that haven't really experienced drinking alcohol and put themselves in a lot of danger by their lack of experience. Does this mean I think they should drink in high school? Absolutely not. Are kids going to drink in college? Absolutely. It's a catch-22. Obviously the solution is just not drinking at all until you're of age but it's somewhat unrealistic. I'm a big believer in learning from lessons, as I have made my fair share of mistakes and learned from every single one of them. I'm glad I have already gone through my ups and downs through mostly high school and some college because it's made me a better and smarter person. But if I had never made the mistakes I made in the past, who knows if I'd be doing them now. From a younger person's perspective, I think letting kids make their own decisions and letting them learn from them actually benefits in the long run. I know it has for me.
April 18, 201115 yr I should clarify that it's slowed down as I age. I get tired easier now which saves me money. So to be clear, it's not that you aren't toasted while you're awake, it's just that you aren't awake quite as much because you pass out sooner?
