Played Basketball Today

Featured Replies

I absolutely HATE it when I play for the first time in months and can't miss a shot. My best games I've ever played are "out of retirement games". Then, I go back the next day and it's obvious I hadn't touched a basketball in a long time. Weird how that works.

It really is, its the same with me. My whole life I haven't really ever had the best outside shot in the world. My game was more drive and get to the basket and pull up off the dribble. I had always tried and tried to work and tweak my outside shot and the more I played/shot the worst I seemed to get it felt. Or if I did get better I would lose it in a week. BUT, I hadn't played since last summer in that game and first time out this year a couple months ago I was hitting everything with a pure stroke, not even touching the rim. I hit like four in a row one game, I had never shot the three that good. Then I didn't play for like another month and then same thing, as soon as I walked through the door and started shooting I was hitting everything, then when the games started I continued. I've just been trying to tell myself I finally got my shooting stroke figured out and it just took me some off time to do that but I know thats just wishful thinking. All goes back to what you said, very weird how you can shoot the ball better when your first getting back to the game.

Funny, UKathletics, and every thing UK says, he's not participating in the Portsmath classic(or whatever the hell it is) due to flu like symptoms says he's been instructed to lay low for a week...........??????

He clearly just didn't want to play. He was absolutely fine.

Guess he's just not looking to play for pay.

I don't think missing it will really hurt his draft status. He showcased his skills in the NCAA tournament, and he's earned opportunities to show them again in private workouts with teams. He'll be fine.
