February 25, 201115 yr Egypt was in better shape government wise to go on, more democratic than Libya for sure. at least we know where we stand with Kadafi, i dont care for him, but sometimes you have to accept bad before you acceept terrible. It wouldbe great if teh Middle east would become democratic, but it wont happen. Why doesnt Obama put his 2cents in on Iran and what they are doing. he is scared of them. he would rather sit and listen to MOTOWN than figure out the mess in the Middle east. I won't even go where what is in bold will lead us, ALL of us can read between the lines! IF we interfere with Iran it will ONLY unite them! Right now the youth (under 30 at least) HATE their president and leadership! One day they will not back down, they will not run away. Iyt will happen, one day. But if we intefere they will forget their differences and unite, like the U.S. did right after 9-11.

If we all got together and went to DC to take over the White House with M-16s, would Obama call out the military too adn do the same thing or jsut say hey, I quit. A libya w/o kadafi is not good, no government in place to take over and all it would be is muslim radicals and the US would be worse off. So....I guess you weren't on the "overthrow Sadaam" side of the equation?

So at what point did you swing back the other way on Qadaffi? When he was basically running world terrorism in the 80s I'm sure you believed he should be overthrown/killed. Now you think he should stick around because "we know where we stand with him". Pretty non-sensical. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to live in a state of constant fear that extremists are going to overrun the Middle East. To you, it seems the only options are terrible, autocratic leaders or Muslim extremists and you choose the lesser of the two evils.

February 25, 201115 yr US Closes Embassy, Imposes Sanctions Against Libya Also, I'm not sure where I saw it, but I either saw it on the news, or read it, that Obama delayed response to the escalating situation in Libya until most Americans could be gotten out. He feared that Americans in Libya would be targeted for hostage taking and worse if he didn't.

They celebrated Black History Month with a bash honoring Motown's influence upon the country, 50 years of rhythm and blues, et. al. Had everything from Smokey Robinson to Jamie Foxx. I hadn't heard about the $1.5 million, but certainly these expenditures are becoming more regular and do not seem to be particularly frugal.
