The Birds raced out to a 27-14 lead at the half led by Jack Stewart.

The 2nd half was another story as Lloyd owned the boards and got a ton of stickback baskets on the offensive glass.

Lloyd cut it to 2 pts with about 3 min left in the game but the Birds converted their FT's and hung on for the win.

I know Coach Flynn was not a happy camper even though it was their 3rd win in a row.

Highlands JV looked good tonight beating the Juggs 53-40. They have a nice core of sophomores and some Frosh playing up that will give them a solid group next season at the Varsity level.

They did. Particularly when you consider that Lloyd started 4 juniors at the JV level, 2 of those JV started the varsity game...HHS jv is comprised of frosh and soph's.

Is there a Lloyd outside of Erlanger???

Kind of like Fort Thomas Highlands.

Why in the world would those 2 boys be playing JV when they are to start the varsity game? Did some varsity players not show up? Doesn't make sense to me.

Lack of quality players on both JV and Varsity maybe and its a smaller school. Didnt seem to matter as the Birds took care of biz in both games. Cheatum is a very nice player for Lloyd.
