HammerTime
First let me say that is awesome and a nice accomplishment. Are their any Freshman playing up that don't play Freshman ball at all? Edit... Just saw the post from TAC saying 2 played JV only. Pretty impressive.
Baseball Nut 24
I'm not sure what the break-down was on the Verst kid playing Freshman and/or JV (and possibly varsity) all year but I can tell you that he is an impressive young kid. He has a chance to be a super player for Brossart the next 3 years. He can really shoot the ball well. I saw them play 4 or 5 times and he impressed me everytime. TAC
Congrats to the Brossart Freshman boys - 26-1 is outstanding at any level. On a selfish side, I wish they would have played in the 9th Region Freshman tourney - would have made for some better games with them in it. Congrats again ! I too would have liked to see them play in the Cov Cath tourney. What a great field. The Mustangs did play against most of the teams in the tourney. I'm sure they would like another crack at Simon Kenton and would have liked to have taken on Cov Cath's squad. This is how they played against the field. Holy Cross won 50-21 Beechwood won 37-30 Scott won 45-22 and 53-41 Holmes canceled due to scheduling issue St. Henry 38-25 Simon Kenton lost 29-33 Highlands won 49-42 NCC won 31-21 and 45-27 Boone won 50-22 Dixie won 36-20 and 62-28 Newport won 40-15 Cooper won 32-
