Taking a while to buy onto team concept are you kidding me?He is leading the team in steals,3nd in assists,3rd in rebounding,the best defender they have.And is and always has been a great team player.And Jerry has 2 more makes while attempting 10 more shots.Just by the numbers alone to say he was not being a team player is flaud.He has had the a ton of chances to shoot more but has opted to pass the ball more to get his teammates more chances to help the team.

 

I apologize if I hit a sore spot with you, but if you have been to as many games as I think you may have, then you would understand my meaning. If you do not, there is nothing I can say to change your mind.

No one needs to come on here and defend Jake Burger's play, but having said that, he is playing an all-around complete game this year as compared to last year when all he did was score. On our team, he is 1st in scoring (13.4), 2nd in rebounding (5.2), 2nd in assists (43), 2nd in steals (47), 3rd in blocked shots (6). It's obvious to anyone who has read a stat sheet on us that he is struggling shooting the ball, but I have it on pretty good authority that he is in the gym every day working on his shooting. It may not pay off this year, but even without his shooting prowess, I would still consider him to be one of the better all-around players in this region.

 

He's a good kid too who I know really works hard. My post probably didnt come across very well and sounded like I was downplaying his abilities. I know his mom and I know that he really loves the game and works hard not only in season but in the offseason. I wish him the best and hope he can improve that shooting percentage, but hopefully he waits until after tonight's game vs the Birds.

Not a sore spot.This is a blog everybody has an opinion thats whats makes this fun for me to debate what what everybody thinks.Some of it has to do Jake used to be the man and now having to share the so called spotlight.But i am very excited for this team that has continued to gel together.And a whole year to come with Chris and Jake and Jalen playing togehter if they can keep improving off one another they will be scarey good next year.If they could some how get a legit post presense they would ba able to contend for a regional title.I have high hopes for them even though Jake and Chris have not shot the ball great all year they are historicaly alot better than they have been.They will both be back to form next year and watch out because that is one of the best 1-2 punches that will be out there next yearf.
