Papa sees 4 or maybe 5 teams with a great shot of coming out of the 6th and getting that sweetheart of a draw. The 6th's representative has a real chance at playing for all the marbles on Saturday evening.

1. Western (12-7). After a solid showing in the Toyota Classic (wins over Dixie Heights and Scott County; a close loss to Clark County), the Warriors have become the sexy pick to come out of the 6th. Ryan Taylor is a scoring and rebounding machine. Strong finish to the schedule; with back-to-back games at Warren Central and Scott County.

2. Bullitt East (19-5). Wins over Western and J'town tell me that East can play with the big boys. Meat of the schedule is already over for the Chargers.

3. Central (9-7). As is the case with the football team, the hoops squad plays an ambitious schedule. Recent losses to Ballard (OK), Valley (?) and Eastern sandwiched around a nice win over Western. Male, Iroquois, Ballard and J'town finish out the regular season.

4. Pleasure Ridge Park (12-7). Seems like PRP is always in the mix in the 6th. HAVE to figure out how to close out the tight games (5 of the 7 losses have been by either 1 or 2 points).

5. Iroquois (15-6). Jermaine Jackson gives the Raiders a chance every night.

I think Western comes out of this region.

I think Western comes out of this region.

I agree, we watched them play in the Gaslight Holiday Classic and they were pretty impressive despite finishing in 6th place in that tournament.

I have seen Western play. Taylor is a very good player and is as good as everyone has been saying. #11 is one of the quickest guards we have faced this year, also great ball handler. Love watching this kid play. He may be 5'4. Western is also my pick to come out of this region.

Bullitt East is the best team in the 6th region. They have already beaten Western. East has it all size, ballhandling, shooting, chemistry, and coaching. Things could change by regional, but right now East is the favorite.
