I'm happy Bilas won't being doing it. I can't stand to watch him.

 

 

My thoughts exactly :thumb:, Bilas is knowledgeable and he also is one of if not the most pompass/arrogant broadcaster out there. I cannot stand listening to his "I''m Jay Bilas and you're not" style. , makes me want to :puke:

If Jay Bilas were a New Mexico graduate, most UK fans wouldn't have a problem with him. .

I understand what you are saying. I can't speak for other UK fans but that is honestly not the case with me. I just cannot stand listening to him.

 

Gus Johnson needs to be the #1 guy. Cannot stand Marv Albert.

One thing that anyone that is old enough to remember might agree is that imo there will never be a better one tha Al McGuire. He was very knowledgeable (had forgotten more basketball than most if not all will ever know) and was personable, imo a class act.

I don't want to get anything started because this is a sincere question: What is wrong with Bilas? I just told my wife last night that Bilas was from Duke but he was one of my favorites and I read here people don't like him and he additionally isn't hired. What am I missing?

 

I loathe listening to him talk. He's arrogant and negative IMO. Oustide of Mike Patrick there is no one else on earth I would like to hear about sports from less. And being from Duke has nothign to do with it, I'm one of the most neutral to Duke UK fans on this board.

 

I do not think Marv is all that bad. Most are accustomed to him doing NBA, but he spreads his talent on radio broadcasts a lot of us never hear. Reggie Miller, yes he is terrible. I also agree with Clark Kellog. How he has become the main color analysts for CBS is beyond me. Hate not having Jay Bilas. Glad Kerr got the axe because he is solid at his job. I wish Doug Collins had not been hired by the 76ers, he was probably my favorite NBA analyst.

If Jay Bilas were a New Mexico graduate, most UK fans wouldn't have a problem with him. I think he's very solid as an anaylist and was paired with Dick Enberg for the last few years to help carry the broadcast because it was obvious Enberg was slipping.

 

Not me, I'd still hate him as a broadcaster, tv personality.

 

That's definitely interesting. "Inside the NBA" on TNT is far and away the best sports studio show on TV right now and any chance for Ernie, Charles and Kenny to make an appearance is a positive thing.
