I agree but UT imo had the thing won and similar to their game earlier with LSU the Vols "snatched defeat from the jaws of victory". They had a stupid spearing PF call that was obvious, that placed UNC 15yds closer for that FG attempt. UT also got a roughing th kicker penalty that moved UNC up half the distance tothe goal to start the first ot. UT also imo could had been flagged for more PF.late hits but they didn't.

at the end of regulation and I was just saying that UT certainly should have had the game won a few times and didn't get it done.

 

Should spearing have been called since he really did not lead with helmet, the replay clearly showed that his shoulder was what made the contact. Also, how was that a catch? He bobbled the ball after the hit and then the first part of his body that hit the ground was his helmet, which hit out of bounds before his feet or anything else hit the ground. Am I wrong on this rule that he had to have control inbounds? I was shocked that it was not overturned. By the way, I can't stand UT and was not pulling for them to win, but thought the replay ref blew the game, at least before the Vols blew it as well.

I was in a bar watching in TN with my friends and a ton of other UT fans. I had my UK gear on as usual, but never said a word to anyone except my close friends at the table in a joking manner. After UT fans THOUGT the game was over one guy that I didn't know ran to my table, stood up in my chair and led the entire bar singing Rocky Top. Of course I was the happiest person on EARTH when they eventually lost the game. Probably the best weekend ever as I was at the same bar yesterday watching UK-UL and then College of Charleston beating UT bball.

Caught a little of this game early on. How many freshman and sophmores does UT play? It seemed like a ton, which bodes well for them down the line.
