As we've seen already they're (Augusta) able to play with just about anyone on a given night but can lose to the "Sister's of the Poor" on any other night. Strange.

Has South Laurel dropped so far since the likes of Proffitt, Hammonds, and Allen?

 

I think they have really good talent coming but it's young. I saw their 8th grade team play earlier and they were impressive. There has been a little staff transition there in the last year as well, which might have something to do with it.

South Laurel has a very good point guard in sophomore Blake Sanders, and they have a good post player who is around 6'6. Very impressed by the margin of victory for Augusta.

What about the eight grade bunch that are sphomore now? Didn't they come in runner ups at state? They beat Mayfield, Scott Co., and Eversole (Hazard) in 3 or 4 over times, only to be beaten by Madinson Central in the finals.

Their point guard, who is also their best player is from this class. I'm not sure about the others.

This is the same thing that came to mind, that seat at the head of the Holmes bench probably looks quite good for coach Wright at this point. With that being said, congrats to Augusta, a huge win no doubt.
