Then I guess you'd be totally shocked to know it wasn't even this close. Grant led by over 20 in the first half, and honestly it could've been more. The second half was only made respectable because of Schriener's outside shooting. He hit 5 or 6 three-pointers in the fourth to help close it down.

 

Told a buddy of mine "this is not your father's Shelby County type of team". Friday's game against Anderson might not be pretty.

Very true. But, regardless of the talent wearing the jerseys, it still says Shelby County across them, and there's still going to be a lot of schools looking to exact a little "revenge" after being on the losing end for so many years. Hope those that will be going through the "growing pains" at SC don't become discouraged. It could be a long year for them.

I think as the year goes along some of you might be shocked by Grant County's performance. A very young, small team that is well coached and plays very hard. Shelby is obviously down this year, but it's a very good win for GC. I see good things for this team by the end of the year.

i agree about Grant County. Coach Hicks has the boys playing hard! THey could surprise some people by the end of the year. Cincysportsfan is right though. Shelby is definately not a typical Shelby County team.
