Not to mention receiving a couple of stacked classes coming up. The baseball team will be back. Basketball...I have to admit, I'm shocked that the city has such little involvement in BBAll in comparison to football at the youth level. The elementary students play AAU and not for their schools.

 

The elementary school students play AAU because the elementary schools in Ft. Thomas do NOT sponsor school teams. That is an issue. Could be lack of volunteer coach's...Not sure. But that is a big part of the problem.

We have a sponsor for our grade school team, we do fundraisers and even formed a non-profit LLC. Our goal is to teach them the game and get them as many games possible. The kids raise the money to buy uniforms and league fees. We opted to support the local Moyer league by entering and also play out at Nothing But Net. It is not win at all cost its 9 boys in the same class at the same school honing their basketball skills, developing school pride and having fun. All of the kids but one play football and love it but once football is over they cant wait to put on that Jaguar uniform.
