Not judging on this game alone, but how Warren Central is in the top 10 over a team like Ballard is still amazing to me.

I think today's games have shown that neither Warren Central or Bowling Green belong in the top 10. I recognize that Duncanville is a very good team, but Warren Central could not beat them when they'd played less than 24 hours before. Bowling Green needed a huge comeback to beat Marshall County by 2 when Marshall County had likewise played the night before. Everyone has gotten caught up in the high profile players on each team with very little regard to who surrounds them. They'll have incredible games with each other and I expect they will improve as the year goes along, but on a statewide scale, neither team is up to where they've been rated preseason.

Bowling Green was without Disney, and I was told that they had another player out. Benahan also sat out a good part of the game because of foul trouble.

Central doesn't have very much outside of them right now. They're very young, and they will need time to develop. That's the drum that I've been beating for quite a bit of time. The Dragons are nowhere near as deep as they've been in recent years. I truthfully don't even know if they belong in the top 20.

 

Bowling Green does not need to rely on Disney. He would be a huge help to them, but who is to say exactly whether or not he will be what he was? I think he had a hand injury in this one, and he tore his ACL while playing for Greenwood in late January last season. If he is the player he was before that, then they can possibly justify their rank.

 

I'm not surprised to hear Behanan was in foul trouble. It seems to me the WKY officials call a much tighter game than they do in the 4th Region. We had the 2nd Region officials here in the 4th Region tournament last season, and Behanan fouled out in two of the three games. I don't know how many games he fouled out in before that on the season, but I can tell you I did not personally witness a single one. And that's kinda the point on Bowling Green as well. If they get to Rupp against a top team and he gets in foul trouble, where does that leave them?
