Loved the way the Cards looked tonight. Daniels is off to a great start this year as well as Bopper Stenzel. I was VERY impressed with our bench. The whole 4th quarter GRC did not play any starters and J-Town had Price, Kimbro and another starter most of the 4th quarter. Kimbro didn't come out till 50 seconds to go in the game. GRC's JV out scored J-town 15-11 in the 4th.

 

Robbie Stenzel went down with a few seconds to go in the 3rd. He has gone to Dr in Lexington, Will give update when I hear anything.

 

Play of the game was by GRC's JV player Andrew Howell;. He had a hook bank shot over Price.

 

Great start for the Cards taking down the #1 team in the state.

Was Kimbro #11 for J-town? He impressed me the most out of anyone from the visitors. Very fluid and fast. Price/Zollo was big and physical. Bet those two will be tired tonight.

Vinny did a great defensive job on Price tonight. Agree on Jaylan, he looked great tonight. Did you see the bench the whole 4th quarter, the starters were so excited and supportive of the JV doing so well against thier varsity.

That is Moore. He played Freshman ball at GRC, then moved to Pa. He moved back to Winchester this summer. He had some great steals tonight, solid player.

I knew Bopper would help us alot this year, he started last night. He was hurt all last season. He had a great summer with AAU.

 

What grade is Booper in?

 

Bopper is a Junior. Robbie a Senior, looked great with the two brothers starting together last night.

 

Robbie has a concussion, will be out for todays scrimmage and may be out for the

Christian Co game.

I know it's just a scrimmage, but is GRC now the preseason favorite? How much stock should be put into this? For those who were there, was GRC clearly the better team, or just the better team that day?

Both are two of the top teams in the state. What made the difference last night was the bench play for GRC. Don't think people has expected GRC's bench to be this strong. Also getting Bopper Stenzel back this year is really going to make a difference.
