2009-2010 Kentucky Wildcats vs .....

Not even debatable IMO. You're talking one of the best college teams ever assembled, in the 95-96 team. 09-10 would be lucky to win one game of a best-of-seven series.

Patterson would be the matchup on Walker. Miller would have to guard Mercer. While Wall or Bledsoe would end up with Anderson. Most likley Bledsoe with Wall on Delk because of his greater size and shot contesting ability. Mercer would give some problems there as would Walker, but I do not think that anyone on the UK team could handle Wall or Cousins consistently all night. When Liggins came in he would be able to slow down Mercer (as would Miller IMO) who was not the primary scoring option in 95-96 that he was in 96-97. Patterson was not the athlete that Walker was, but he would be able to keep him from going off IMO. In a game all about matchups I think this one would be difficult for the 95-96 team, but that is just me.

Yes the 09/10 team could match up well with the 95/96 team. However your missing out on a few things. What were some things last years team struggled with? That is right shooting the basketball, and free throws. The 95/96 team was just as talented, but also could shoot the ball. That would be the difference in a 7 game series, last years team could not shoot that great. They would have one or two good games shooting here and there, but then be very cold. That was the thing that cost them games last year, and why other games ended up close.

The 95/96 team would win, and IMO the 97/98 team would win too. In my last I stated why the 95/96 team would win, and its a few of the same reasons for the 98 team. The 98 team would present problems for last years team IMO. They knew how to play good defense, they had a pg who could handle the ball against Wall, they had guys who could shoot, and they had big guys down low. Mohammed, and Magloire would have been a good matchup against Cousins. I think the 98 team would win in 6 games against last years team.

The team form last year would be a tough matchup for the '96 championship team, but I'd probably take Delk and company.

There is a reason why last years team didn't win it all, and why say the 96 and 98 teams did. The 96 and 98 teams would expose the problems that last years team had.

I plugged these teams in on Whatifsports and here was the result: 95-69, 105-76, 102-72, 76-66. 4 game sweep by the 95-96 squad. Who knows how accurate that would really be?
