I am so disgusted with McConnell and Boehner I can't see straight. Today's front page of the Enquirer contained this story - GOP Focus: Repeal of Health Bill. I could not find the article online to link it here. So I will tell you that the article is about how McConnell and Boehner will lead Republicans in trying to repeal health care reform. The article cites statistics that show the country is evenly divided on the health care reform bill. The article also cites poll results that show the voters last week overwhelming said the most important issues are reducing the deficit (38%) and spending to create jobs (37%). Only 18% of the voters thought health care is the most important issue.

 

THEY DON"T GET IT!!! We elect these guys and they don't listen. The only person who seems to understand this is Rand Paul. Who would have thought that the most reasonable minded person in Washington is going to be Rand Paul? He knows spending and the economy are the focus of the voters and are why he was elected. McConnell and Boehner are headed in the wrong direction before they even get started. Clueless. Just totally clueless.

 

Many folks feel, repealing the healthcare bill will help lead to reducing the deficit.

I believe that cost is already being paid by all of us who have health insurance. Hospitals budget for indigent care and they pass that cost along to us. If more dollars get paid in and indigent care cost goes down, then our cost should go down.

 

 

They also do a ton of cost shifting due to payments from medicare and other government programs being cut and/or less than originally negotiated.

 

Many a GP has had to go into practice with other doctors because of the number of medicare patients they have.

I've tried to tell VOR that the health care bill is economic policy but he just doesn't get . Don't think he/she ever will
