The big time 2011 Canadian PG now at Findlay Prep decommitted from Texas today and is back on the market. He is listing UK among the 5 schools on his list, but from what I am hearing tonight it is really between Duke and UNC with the Blue Devils in a strong position to land him.

I just don't see UK as a good fit with Teague already in the fold. Both are very strong willed/leader type kids and I think that is the exact opposite of the Bledsoe/Wall situation last year that it will be compared to. Bledsoe knew who was the Alpha Male of the two and accepted his role so everything was smooth.

If he picks Duke and teams with Rivers, WOW...

Duke just log a big kid (size wise) that decommitted, correct?

Lost, yes. Log? No.

This is the kid heading to either Starkville or Gtown, correct?

Both. Likely a 2 in college and a 1 in the NBA...

Still a 2 in college if Kabongo goes to UNC, or will he be the PG if Kabongo goes to UNC?

Would play a lot of both probably. Depends on what position K wants to play Seth Curry...

So let's say Kabongo does committ to Duke. Wouldn't all 3 players start? Which one would play the 3? Would Duke already having 2 great guards give UNC the edige in the battle for Kabongo? I'll admit I know nothing about what UNC has at the guard position.

Wow, tough loss for the Horns. Kabongo is big time.

Heard he's great friends with Rivers... Hopefully it pans out. Duke's become big time players in the top talent recently. Would be a great class to recover from the loss of Singler, Smith, and most likely Irving.

Would just depend because they would be loaded on the perimeter, but lack at the SF position right now. Rivers could easily play the 3 in college as well, and Dawkins will be in heavy rotation at the SG spot as well. Nice problem to have. The versatility of Rivers would certainly be a big plus in working it out...

Talked to a very well connected national guy last night that thinks Quinn Cook will pick Duke. Can't see them taking both so that could make the Kabongo situation a lot more interesting...
