October 11, 201015 yr Can the Braves extend Bobby Cox's managerial career tonight? We'll soon find out.
October 11, 201015 yr It hurts that Wagner is done. I would have skipped Kimbrel as the closer and putch Jurrjens in to close or someone else, game is too close to do that. Glaus is starting 3rd and Conrad in on the bench.
October 12, 201015 yr It's big to have Lowe on the mound, who is pitching like an ace lately. I still can't help but think about the fact that if they get past this, they still have Lincecum to deal with. One game at a time though.

IF the Braves win tonight they'll have Tommy Hanson pitching against Lincecum in San Fran. It'd be tough but the Braves would have some momentum I mean they did split there so they know they can win. It does suck that this should be the close out game for the Braves instead of the "win or go home" game.
October 12, 201015 yr So let me ask this. IF the Braves win tonight and go back to San Fran for game 5 would you consider using Hudson as a closer if the Braves were up 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th? The NLCS doesn't start until Saturday and game 5 would be on Wednesday. Hudson could start game 2 and have Lowe for game 1.

October 12, 201015 yr What about Venters? I like Venters but I still think I'd go with Hudson for an inning to close it out. I know it can backfire but I'd take my chances with a veteran.
October 12, 201015 yr Author Win or lose tonight the Braves have to add power to that lineup. Adam Dunn at 1B?
October 12, 201015 yr Adam Dunn at 1B? I'd love to add his bat to the lineup. I actually think they'll look at him this offseason. He'd probably like to stay in the NL East.
