Thoughts?

I think we will see the same results as last year. Brossart came in playing really well last year, and people were really talking up Brossart, yet Ludlow came away with a 35 to 14 win I believe. I think the final score will be closer than that, however I think Ludlow will pull it out again.

 

The game is Saturday at 7 at Newport High School.

Mustangs defense has had 0 points scored on them in the second half this year. Ludlow has not scored over 20 points in any game yet this year. What happened last year was last year. Brossart wins 28 - 14

I'm taking Brossart in this one. Ludlow has the experience, but I think Brossart is eventually going to break through with a victory and there's no time like the present. Brossart is playing very good ball at the moment and confidence can be a nice thing to have on your side.

What billboard material? For predicting Ludlow wins again? So I guess Ludlow has even more billboard material, since most on here are predicting Brossart to win. So, wow if your going to use one person picking Ludlow to win, as ammo then that is saying something.

 

The better team won last year, and if Brossart wins this year then they are the better team this year. Its as simple as that. The excuse thing for last year is very poor, and if Brossart wins this year. You won't hear excuses for why Brossart won. Whoever is the better team will win this game, just like last year. End of story.

Excuses are one thing, facts are another. Playing a game without 2 weeks of practice hurts momentum and chemistry, which happened to Brossart going into the Ludlow game. That isn't a poor excuse, it is a huge fact. I would like to see how well any other team would play given the same circumstances. One cannot deny that would have a huge effect on any team, not just Brossart. Ludlow was fortunate to play that game when they did and they were the better team that night. A win is a win, congrats to Ludlow for that. No way Ludlow wins by 21 points on any other week of the season. IMO, Ludlow wouldn't have beaten Brossart if the circumstances were different on any other week of last season. Im not disrespecting Ludlow, Im just stating my opinion. Ludlow had many good players last year. Rice was one of the best LB's in the area. If the layoff was going to really affect Brossart, when would it have affected them the most? Thats right in the beginning of the game, because it would have been understandable if they came out rusty. However they came out playing great that night, and was 14 to 14 early, and then just the better team took over and won that night. Lets not forget Ludlow had a few key players out that night to for that game, and they still won. 35 to 14 is a pretty good win, if Brossart was definitely the better team last year. Then you would have thought it would have been still closer than that. If the outcome was close in the end, then that excuse would fly some. If Brossart got off to a slow start and that is why the outcome was that big, then that excuse would fly some. However that is not the case, the better team won last year plain and simple. Get over it. Brossart may very well be the better team this year, even though I do think Ludlow wins again. However if Brossart wins, you won't hear any excuses about why they lost.

 

Also you talk about billboard material. All I said was that I thought Ludlow would win again this year, like last year. Which Ludlow did win last year, which is a fact. So I didn't say anything that was not true. The only one giving billboard material is you talking about how Brossart was the better team last year, even though the game really wasn't that close after the 1st quarter. Saying how any other time during the year last year, Brossart would have won. That is taking away from the win Ludlow had, so the only one giving billboard material is you. So thank you!

If you have been sick, your lungs and energy levels are depleted the longer you attempt to go. That is a fact. Your point that Brossart came out playing great was a fact as well. However, your point of it not being close after the first quarter is completely wrong as well. It was tied 14 14 at the half. That is a fact. Anyone could see that the team that started the game was not the same team by the end of the game, which brings me back to being affected the longer the team tried to go. That is a fact. You do realize Ludlow had quite a few people who were sick for that game too right? So that is another fact, and had some guys out. Or what about another fact, about how Ludlow has had some really key injuries this year. I guess if Brossart wins, you would be ok if Ludlow uses the injury excuse for why Brossart beat Ludlow for the first time in their program. So I guess you would be perfectly fine with Ludlow using that as an excuse then, if Brossart wins. My guess is that you won't let that excuse fly, if Brossart wins the game. So see how silly it sounds to make excuses about games. Especially ones that had a decent side margin of victory like 35 to 14. Ludlow was the better team last year, so get over it and move on. Brossart has their chance this year to prove they are the better team this year. Even though I think Ludlow will win again, if Brossart does win I will admit that they are the better team this year instead of using excuses. I will hope you will do the same this year if Ludlow wins, its silly using excuses.

This is worse than cragislist.....bluegrasspreps.com is not a bad place to state opinions about the upcoming game and using facts and stats from the current season. Let's just discuss the current season and current stats and facts to debate and back our predictions and get off of last year. I do not mean to jump in your argument, but lets talk about Brossart 2010 and Ludlow 2010.

I believe that last year was last year. I believe that things have changed for alot of programs. The one thing that is for certain is that this is a huge game in 1a.
