Grayson is doing a great job, but they have only three real solid teams on their schedule in BG, Warren Central, and Edmonson County. I think we're going to have to wait for those games to see how "real" Grayson is. But these players should make no apology for their schedule; it is what it is, and the Cougars are flat-out taking care of business against teams they should beat.

 

Right now, though, #3 seems like an incredible reach for the Cougars' ranking.

Grayson isn't ranked #3, but they appear third on the Riherds site when you look at 5A. That's because they're one of four teams that are 5-0, but are only 1-0 in the region (while Christian County and Bowling Green are 2-0), thus the board sorts them behind those two.

 

Grayson County is tied with Bowling Green for highest margin of victory, averaging wins of 43.2 points a game.

 

I bloody hate playing Grayson County. No matter how you think you should be against them, they make you play their game, and if you get into that, you will not win often if ever. Very hard nosed team, control the LOS and control the clock. I do hope that they take the opportunity next year to upgrade their schedule, because honestly, it's pathetic, and the program has been raised to a point that they need to be better than that.

 

They're going to lose to Bowling Green - make peace with that. The game against Warren Central is the only other one they could potentially lose, and two straight years of losing and another of a close game has taught me better than to say anything negative of their chances against WC.
