September 8, 201016 yr Heard a great argument about this today. Eric Holder is now on record calling this dangerous and idiotic, that the foolish "pastor" has the right to burn the books but is it the right thing to do? Doesn't the same argument hold for the mosque in NY? They have a right to do it but should they? Perzackly... The point I was attempting to present, but far more succinctly. :thumb:
September 8, 201016 yr The Bible says we shouild love each other, and this preacher???? isn't going by his own Bible. There are so many verses he is going against. Go into his own back yard and get a Koran and burn it by himself. Don't make it like the Jews did in the time of Jesus and make it about themselves. Is the church from Kansas going to be there?
September 8, 201016 yr This "church" in Florida is at best foolish, and at worst anti-Christlike. That having been said, I'd say a "church" in Florida filled with extremists is less of a threat to the troops than a "church" in Afghanistan filled with extremists.

Doesn't the same argument hold for the mosque in NY? They have a right to do it but should they? Exactly, I agree and they do have the right, but no they shouldn't, its a stupid idea. The leaders in both parties are no good. IMO
September 9, 201016 yr Here's a year old article about the Rev. Terry Jones and his "church." http://www.gainesville.com/article/20090907/ARTICLES/909079995/1002?Title=Leader-of-Dove-World-Outreach-Center-to-give-meeting-invocation I don't doubt his "right" but I have grave misgivings concerning his motivation.
September 10, 201016 yr Just because you have the right to do something does not mean that it should be done. And the press should be shunning this idiot like the plague.
