Always a big game when the Wolverines and Irish play. Game will be in South Bend so ND has the advantage there. Michigan looked good versus UCONN. Probably a must win for Rich Rod too.

I'll be at this one. I think this game could go either way.

What do you all think?

I worry about Michigan's ability to stop the pass, since they lost so many DBs this off-season. If they can slow down Notre Dame they have a chance. ND's defense seems to be improved, but Denard Robinson is the kind of guy that can simply take over a game with his athleticism. I want Michigan to win, but if I had to bet money I would take ND.

ND HAS to control Robinson and keep him from running wild. Alot will depend on how the OLBs and DEs contain him. If Robinson is kept in the pocket and forced to beat ND with his arm I think ND can win this one. I'm not saying Robinson can't pass, but it if ND can keep him from scrambling around it takes out a huge portion of his game.

On offense the Irish will have to continue to run the ball as well as they did against a good Purdue DL. In a big game like this you can't rely on a green QB to put the team on his shoulders like Claussen did. BK also needs to get his AA talent the ball more. Floyd needs the ball more in general and Rudolph needs to get the ball downfield instead of always being the checkdown.

This is a huge game for the Irish this season and for recruiting. ND has a few top prospects visiting that need to see a win.

Floyd is the best WR in college football IMO. He could dominate Michigan's pathetic secondary if given the chance.

I agree with both of you as far as Robinson goes. If ND can contain him, then they have a great chance at winning this game. I thought ND looked very good against the run this weekend and improved against the pass. The defense knows everyone thinks they stink, so I hope they use that as motivation. BK already said something about that last week so I hope he uses it again to pump these guys up.

The guy is a stud. Hopefully they get him more involved this week.

Ya he has a ton of skill but the problem is Crist isn't that accurate of a passer. Hopefully they run a couple of gos and just let Floyd go up and get it. There aren't many DBs in CFB that can go up with and stop Floyd.

Crist will get there eventually. He is only going to get better and I think he will be a completely different QB by the end of the season.

I don't think you even have to be all that accurate with Floyd. He can go and get the ball like a top flight NFL WR. I think he has hands like Fitz or Randy Moss when it comes to getting up and getting a jump ball. AJ Green is the only guy I think that can really even compare to Floyd.

I agree. BK is a QB-whisperer.

I have faith in Crist, but he did miss a couple passes on saturday. With that said he also made a couple great passes, plus he has a stronger arm than Claussen. Since this game is only the second game of the season I think ND needs to get the ball into the hands of Allen and Wood. Wood was explosive against Purdue.

I loved the way ND ran the ball. We haven't seen that in South Bend for awhile.

It was definetely a breath of fresh air, RB is probably the deepest position on the field.

Agree. Wood looked really good, I was really happy to see his doing well. TJ Jones was another guy I was smiling about Saturday, I think he will be a stud. Plus his dad went to ND and his godfather is "The Rocket".

The speed of Bennet Jackson was also impressive on the kickoff coverage, that speed might help him find some time on offense.
