The 6PM Game 1 of the PBK Bank Death Valley Bowl will be the first ever meeting between these two teams. (Garrard County and East Jessamine meet in Game 2).

Rowan County is 1-0 (21-14 win over Morgan County) 7-4 in 2009

Lincoln County is 0-0 (Open in Week 0) 2-9 in 2009

There will be a PBK Bank Death Valley Bowl Preview Show with coaches and players from all four teams on WPBK-FM at 3 PM Sunday. It can be heard online at http://www.wpbkfm.com.

I think Lincoln will win this one.

Rowan managed a 21-14 win against Morgan County last week but did so without a few starters who were ejected from a pre-season scrimmage. Rowan has a very talented running back in Darrell Cross who Lincoln County will have to contain to have a chance of winning.

Last year, Rowan County had their first winning season since 1997 and hosted a playoff game for the first time in 25 years. Coach Shadon Brown has righted the Viking ship and has them believing they can win. This will be a very formidble foe for Lincoln County.

Lincoln wins 31-27. In a very good game to watch.

I am going with underdog Lincoln.

Lincoln should be improved from last year, but I think they will have to wait for their first win of the year next week.
