August 17, 201016 yr Is Smoltz still considered active? Did he officially retire? He is not considered active but he only has 154 career saves.

August 17, 201016 yr Is Smoltz still considered active? Did he officially retire? I'm not sure if he officially retired or not. I do know that he doesn't have anywhere near 250 saves.
August 17, 201016 yr I'm not sure if he officially retired or not. I do know that he doesn't have anywhere near 250 saves. I don't think it would matter if he officially retired or not. If he's not on a 40 man roster, he's probably not "active".

August 17, 201016 yr I almost said Benitez because I remember hearing something about him early on. Not sure what it was but.......
