August 4, 201016 yr What's a broker? A person who specifically deals in loose diamonds. They will have access to the diamond district in NY or Antwerp and will have loose stones shipped in for you to view. They will be able to get much better quality stones than what you will find in most retail outlets for a much smaller markup. There is also a publication called the Rapaport sheet that is a monthly industry publication that gives up to date pricing details for all types of diamonds. However we went to Jared together to get an idea of what she would like. It think it is a great place for that since it has such a large selection and they are very helpful.
August 5, 201016 yr There is a lot that goes into a diamond as far as clarity and cut Rocket better make sure you know what you want. Price can change drastically by going up a notch in either category. Not sure what size you are looking at but if you are in the 1 karat range going just a hair under can also save a lot of money as well.

August 5, 201016 yr Author Ok a question I have is, say I buy the setting at Jared, and a diamond from this bluenile, then what? Who puts it in? Warranty? Etc? If the diamond isn't bought at say Jared, do they cover anything? My biggest concern is, say I purchase them seperately and the diamond falls out, and is lost, then what? Are there brokers around Paducah or in Richmond considering these are my 2 locals at this time
