Just something to think about in terms of Miami's situation:

 

The Heat won 47 games last year with D Wade- who were the Heat's two best players after him?

 

LeBron has won more games in the regular season the last two years than any other player with the Cavs- who were the Cavs two next best players after LeBron?

 

Now, Miami has D-Wade and the next two best players are LBJ and Chris Bosh. Mike Greenberg brought this up on Mike and Mike and I think it is very good reasoning. If healthy, the Heat will win the East. They will have home court throughout. The question is; can they beat the Lakers?

Can they beat the Celtics? Who is guarding Perkins, KG and O'Neal in Boston? Bosh can't do that by himself and if you take LeBron and put him on KG, who guards Pierce? Not to mention Allen and Rondo.

 

The Magic aren't just going to lay down either.

 

I am very intrigued. On paper, sure the Heat have it locked, especially if the get Miller. In that same breath, the Cavs had it locked this year and last year, correct?

Sad for the Bulls or Sad that Lebron has to have that?

Your Varnardo comment was exactly what people said 3 years ago, only it was Perkins and the Celtics folks talked about.

 

Let's see how the team is put together before we go crazy talking match ups. I am looking at the top 3 guys and making a statement based on past success.

 

The new big 3 in Miami will makes guys look better and they are an impossible match up for every team except the Lakers, IMO.
