Brossart (16-6), the 9th/10th Region representative takes on Louisville DeSales (18-2) the 5th/6th Region rep in the opening game of the Touchstone Energy All "A" State Tournament Saturday morning at 8:30am.

Good luck to the Mustangs! I think they have a chance to win it all. They are a very good hitting team and seem to have enough pitching depth to make a run at it. How does the pitching line up for the three games, assuming they can keep winning?

Does anyone know where these two teams are currently ranked in the State (assuming the rankings go down that far)? Would it be considered an upset if Brossart beat DeSales?

Update from the bmustangs site says the game is now scheduled for 5:30 on a turf field with lights in Nicholasville.

Not to thread jack, but this is the reason, that if the KHSAA is committed to playing the State Tournament as they plan to this season, needs the playing site to be held either in Florence at Champion Window Field or at the University of Louisville. You can't play games at Applebee's in the kind of rain we are currently having and while the Nicholasville field is nice, it is no where near as nice as Champion Window or UofL.

No games today for the Class A, going to make a call @ 7:30 AM for starting @ 9:00 at the complex in Nicholasville. I heard they did call Champions this morning but they had games already scheduled with out-of-town teams playing.

Entire tournament washed out for this weekend.

 

Is rescheduled for Sunday, May 16th at the Nicholasville Sports Complex.

 

Game times to be announced later this week.

 

The matchups will remain the same but the game times could shift to allow for teams travelling the farthest to get there.
