Andy Katz reporting Orton staying in Draft but not so sure on Bledsoe

Right, I understand that even though I have never ever heard of a class doing something remotely close to this. But Orton just isn't the ordinary student in the classroom. I'm sure there are exceptions made for him, I've sure seen them made for plenty of other athletes (and bball players). Right or wrong... it happens.

I agree with everything you just said. I think its a bit unfortunate though they aren't treated like the non-athlete students at the University. I understand some exceptions must be made for their seasons but the season is over and Orton is missing class now because he wants to prepare for class, two very different reasons to be missing class with one being excusable.

I don't know UKs rules on that nor do I think my son does. If so then the teacher is fault.

Its done by a university ID number.

That may be true, but in this class it lists specific names on the sign-in sheet with what the student is missing (assignments, attendance, tests, quizzes, etc.) just to the right of it. No ID numbers are being used. Just relaying what my son has told me.

Would this be in a recitation class I assume? A normal Sociology class has anywhere from 200-300 people and passing a sign in sheet seems impossible.

I had a flaming gay Sociology instructor at NKU who wore leather pants and had a crew cut. He took attendance 3 minutes before class every M/W/F and I would roll in normally 5 min late entering in the upper section and quietly sitting down. I aced all the tests and at the end of the semester saw i got a B in the class. I asked him what was up and he said that he docked me a letter grade for missing 7 classes. I said I only missed 2 and he said not from his records. What a JERK !!!

Any college instructor that grades on attendance is a Moron !!

Oddly enough, one of UK's sociology instructors (mine last semester) is a registered sex offender. His class was very easy though...

According to the latest mock draft, Orton is the number 20 overall pick, Bledsoe is the last pick of the first round and for GT, Lance Stephenson is up to number 25.

I really think another year of college would help Bledsoe. JMHO, though.

I do too. I think with more polish on his game he could really show the scouts what he can do. He seems to have a lot of question marks right now.
