April 16, 201016 yr I have been crazy drunk a bunch of times and never walked around with my stuff hanging out of my pants on the way to the John where a girl awaits that someone pulled in there for me. It's much more than just being drunk. I feel fairly confident that you've never walked into a bar and had "your choice" as to which one you wanted to take home with you either.
April 16, 201016 yr I feel fairly confident that you've never walked into a bar and had "your choice" as to which one you wanted to take home with you either. Well from the looks of things, neither did Ben....
April 16, 201016 yr What makes it dumber to me is how easy it is for Ben. Heck almost any guy could go to a bar and leave w/ a female. He like your buddy has a lot of options. Why go after 20 year olds in college towns that are hammered? He could have found a 20 year old that night if that's what he likes. If not that night the next night and the next night. Why in a bathroom and not invite them back to his house? That's the disturbing part. If he wanted to just have someone it would have happened. The girl in Vegas consensually or not tells us looks aren't that important to him if he has a mission. I don't get that part of it. He could be w/ tons of girls that 90% of the world wouldn't have a shot w/. Why a hammered 20 year old where their friends were denied a chance to get her if that is indeed the case? You raise some valid points; however, you're assuming that Ben initiated the interaction & that she did not lie about her age. Actually, if she's 20 & in the bar, she has already lied about her age.

April 16, 201016 yr I agree that Ben has some issues that should be addressed and that he very well may be suspended (and rightfully so). I don't want to defend him, but I'm not as quick to bash him as most of you.
April 16, 201016 yr Not at all true. There are numerous bars that are girls 18+, and guys 21+... And if she was drinking / drunk, then she likely would have had the wristband instead of the big X on her hands, representing that she is 21+.
April 16, 201016 yr "I told him it wasn't OK; no, we don't need to do this, and I proceeded to get up and try to leave," the accuser said in a written statement. "I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be the bathroom, and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything." The Tribune-Review also reports that the officer who wrote that report, Milledgeville police Sgt. Jerry Blash, was under internal investigation for derogatory comments allegedly made about the accuser, and has resigned. First off, I hate Roethlisberger. He's a punk and a thug. He needs to take a fast drive in traffic on his motorcycle without his helmet. That being said I have some serious issues with this girl's statement. "I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be the bathroom, and shut the door behind him." Behind him? Why behind him? Wouldn't it have been better to close the door behind herself and exclude him, since that was the point of going through the door in the first place? "I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything." I understand the law says "no" means "no," but I am left wondering where the part is about her screaming, yelling, kicking, scratching, etc.. And I really feel the bolded part has quite a bit to do with the entire situation. Interesting about the police officer involved in the investigation having to resign. I hadn't heard anything about this. In 500-plus pages of documents released Wednesday, Nicole Biancofiore, a friend of the accuser, told investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations her friend, a student at Georgia College & State University, "was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital [City, a local nightclub]. She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening." Two of the woman's friends said they saw the bodyguard lead her into the hallway and then saw Roethlisberger follow. They said they couldn't see their friend but knew she was drunk and were worried about her. Ann Marie Lubatti told police she approached one of Roethlisberger's two bodyguards and said, "This isn't right. My friend is back there with Ben. She needs to come back right now." She said the bodyguard wouldn't look her in the eye and said he didn't know what she was talking about. The GBI later identified that bodyguard as Ed Joyner, and the GBI also determined that the man who led Roethlisberger's accuser down the hallway was Anthony Barravecchio. Joyner is a Pennsylvania trooper and Barravecchio is an officer on the force in the Pittsburgh suburb of Coraopolis. Attorney Michael Santicola, who represents Barravecchio but said Joyner also is a longtime friend, confirmed on March 10 that the two officers were present, but not in an official capacity. He said the two men are friends with Roethlisberger and did not witness any criminal activity or inappropriate behavior. He said the officers "have no memory" of meeting Roethlisberger's accuser. Lt. Myra A. Taylor, a spokeswoman for Pennsylvania State Police, said Thursday night the agency is getting a copy of the investigative report from Georgia authorities. "We will thoroughly review the report and determine if there is a violation of Department regulations on the part of Trooper Edward Joyner," she said http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5094224 I'm guessing two more are quitting soon. The ones w/ Ben that night that the accuser is calling his bodyguards...
April 16, 201016 yr It is definitely a shady situation with the police. Weren't the local investigators getting their pictures taken with Ben hours before the alleged incident?
April 16, 201016 yr It is definitely a shady situation with the police. Weren't the local investigators getting their pictures taken with Ben hours before the alleged incident? The cop that the girl first went to is the one that resigned today. He's the one who took a picture w/ Ben a couple hours before. Rape or not there were two officers who should have known better w/ Ben. One is the one who led the girl down the hall and the other is the one that wouldn't let the victim's friends get in the bathroom accoring to their statements and the GBI. Then the first cop they see they tell right after the incident calls her an explicitive and says she's too drunk. Nice.
April 16, 201016 yr And if she was drinking / drunk, then she likely would have had the wristband instead of the big X on her hands, representing that she is 21+. Not necessarily. Most girls I know simply go into the bathroom, wash the X's off their hands, and start buying drinks. It's not policed very well at all in NKY and Cincy bars.
April 16, 201016 yr Not necessarily. Most girls I know simply go into the bathroom, wash the X's off their hands, and start buying drinks. It's not policed very well at all in NKY and Cincy bars. Trust me, I'm familiar with the process. That doesn't change the fact that she still wouldn't have a wristband; was attempting to represent herself as 21+; and drunk. Bottom line (regarding this issue) is that the girl is "old enough".
April 16, 201016 yr Mr. Bright, the district attorney, said during his news conference that when the accuser first approached a police officer outside the nightclub immediately after the incident, "The police officer asked 'Did he rape you?' And her response was 'No.' Then he asked, 'Did you have sex?' And she said, 'Well, I'm not sure.' " Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10106/1050884-66.stm#ixzz0lJHFTIOH
