Jim Schue Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Who should I keep? We have four spots. I've narrowed it to: Almost certain Justin Verlander Troy Tulowitzki Not sure Matt Wieters Dustin Pedroia Jason Bay Derrek Lee Jacoby Ellsbury Jared Weaver

I've narrowed it to: Almost certain Justin Verlander Troy Tulowitzki Not sure Matt Wieters Dustin Pedroia Jason Bay Derrek Lee Jacoby Ellsbury Jared Weaver Tulo Wieters Verlander Fourth one is between the Sox guys.. I would go with Pedroria 2B can thin out.
westsider Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I would say Wieters and either Pedroia or Weaver.
John Anthony Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I would say Wieters and either Pedroia or Weaver. You think Weaver could be his #2 fantasy pitcher? I think he is more of a #3 or #4 guy.
formerkywrestler Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Not knowing the league settings I think you go: Tulo Pedroia Ellsbury Wieters I'm not keeping a P unless I have to. But that's the order I would rank them in a vacuum.

I struggled to Keep Gallardo in my league and he has Ace upside.
westsider Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 You think Weaver could be his #2 fantasy pitcher? I think he is more of a #3 or #4 guy.I didn't say that. He gave me a list and I listed the guys I thought were the best options.
John Anthony Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I didn't say that. He gave me a list and I listed the guys I thought were the best options. I know didn't mean to imply that, but if he keeps Verlander and Weaver, we would have to assume they are #1 and #2 in his fantasy rotation.
ColonelCrazy Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I would keep: Verlander Pedrioa Bay Lee Jason Bay's numbers will probably go down because of how big the Mets' park is, but I think he's your best bet. I would be tempted to keep Ellsbury because of the SB's, but I believe he's going to hit 9th. Bay & Lee have the potential for big time numbers.

Good hitting SS are hard to come by, unless you have Ramirez or Scutaro.
Jim Schue Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Anybody else want to weigh in? Thanks to those who have. :thumb:

I would be tempted to keep Ellsbury because of the SB's, but I believe he's going to hit 9th. Bay & Lee have the potential for big time numbers. Lee is not young anymore and first base is very deep. I don't think Lee is top 12. I would rather have Adam Dunn at first and collect his 40 HR's.

Jim Schue Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 I agree. NO way do I give back Tulo. Tulowitzki is a no-brainer. With Verlander in prime MLB age (27), he's close. The more I've thought about it, Wieters is looking like a no-brainer as well. I look for him to have a big year. I keep going back and forth on Pedroia, Bay and Ellsbury. Make your case for one of the three!
