Face it, IF Ryle had not "lost" a certain player to a certain team, they would have certainly been the overall favorite to win the region. In fact, if they had lost that player and that player was not allowed to play this season because of transferring, Ryle would have likely won. I cheer for the teams who have the players they're supposed to have and not players from other programs. I am not putting blame on any particular person, but this is high school basketball and you should play with the athletes within your system and not with ones who decide they want to get "drafted" to another program because they want to be a more visible star player. Just my opinion - I know there are a lot of nay-sayers out there and I respectively just disagree with your viewpoint as you do with mine.

I just returned from a "water cooler" conversation with Boone and Ryle supporters and I learned a lot of interesting info that I was not aware of because I do not follow girls basketball. I watched the game Sunday because I was waiting on the boys game and found it fun to watch two evenly matched teams. Just curious...If a player legally resides in the district, enrolls as a freshman, and it's approved by the BOE (No KHSAA approval is required)...do you still consider the kid a transfer?

If memory serves me correctly, Ryle lost in the first round of the region last year and Boone won the region. Sydney may have observed this and figured she might have a better chance to go down state with Boone than with Ryle. Again, I do not know, that's just my speculation.

If Sydney observed that, then it was from the stands, as she had already "quit" Ryle before post season play - perhaps for the 2nd time, as Ryle also started that season without Moss on roster. I don't pretend to know what happened, but it was a shame to waste that talent after she (and Jenna) had showed such promise as 8th graders for Ryle. She is certainly doing fine this year! I hope Boone goes all the way at state!

Ryle has a great program thanks to Coach O and the great group of players there. They need to put the whole Moss/Boone thing behind them next year and just shine as the terrific TEAM they are!

That had nothing to do with the transfer. If that had been the motivation staying at Ryle would have provided the better chance to go to States, this season and the next couple.

I like Ryle's Orange uni's. How's that for positive? I do, they rock - but I'm partial to the all Orange look, maybe it's a Bengals thing for me, anything but Baby Blue!

The church league girls team I coached years ago wore the NC blue. After that I didn't care much for it. But I like it now!

I don't agree with that. I do think they are pretty darn close to Boone but not clearly above Boone.

The" Moss transfer" has been beat to death. This started out as a "Ryle" thread.

I think the kids are already handling it better! But us grown up got to have something to talk about!

Why would Boone fans bring it up? Let's face it; as good as NF and her

team might be, Moss was a gift. One received under questionable circumstances. . . I can see why Ryle folks don't like it.

But again - glad it worked out for Miss Moss!

Something positive about Ryle? I think there has been lot's of positives, but I must mention Dawn Johnson - she plays really strong. A freshman, right? Anyone know how tall she is? Enjoy watching her make things happen. . .
