HAHA! You are getting in great shape for the ASYLUM, the follow-up coming out in March! I can't wait!!!

I honestly cannot imagine anything as hard as month 2 of Insanity. Yesterday was my first day of month 2, you should have seen me afterwards. Dripping and soaked!

ASYLUM, I'm going to have to check that out. Is it along the same lines of Insanity (ie no equipment needed?).

OK...so you insane people...what do you recommend a flat slob with a desk job who's completely out of shape begin with for excrecise. From what you guys describe, I'd be dead before the first half hour of that insanity stuff.

I think it is going to require a jump rope, some weights and it looks like a pull up bar. It is a 30 day program--5 or 6 workouts, I believe. It is primarily sports-performance based.

RM, I would definitely recommend one of the Beachbody workouts--so easy to do at home! You could start with ChaLEAN Extreme (its on sale now), Slim in 6, or Power 90. Insanity is not recommended for people just beginning an exercise program. If you want any more info, just let me know.

Pure Cardio has me doggin' it today. Today was my last day of month one on my second rotation and while I can say I'm in a lot better shape I can honestly admit the workouts don't get any easier because you start pushing harder. I'm loving it though. I guess the only thing I can compare it to is agility drills that we would do for basketball conditioning.

I've lost 30 lbs. and I'm rockin a six pack that did look a lot like a pony keg.

RockMom, walk for 10 minutes and increase it daily. Make sure you have some nice shoes, but you can wear old clothes. My wife's dad is 85 and walks every day weather permits.

Funny this popped back up. I'm getting ready to start it next week. I'll try to give some progress on here. I've been doing weight training the last several months. Did bodyweight stuff Nov/Dec. Lighter weights Jan. Heavy weight Feb/March/Aprl. My bench has gone up from about 220 to about 260-270 from Feb 1st too now. Haven't lost weight but went down almost 2 belt sizes. Haven't really been trying to loose weight but will be starting next week.

Started The Asylum--all I can say is OMG! Shaun T says in one of the videos "this ain't Insanity..." and boy, is he right. The Asylum makes Insanity look like a warm up. I better get some awesome results in 30 days!

Completed my Day 6 of The Asylum this morning. Woo hoo--24 days to go!

Your going to have to keep me updated. My wife was thinking about buying P90X for my b-day. However, I might recommend this to her instead if you think it would be worth my time.

Asylum is definitely worth your time, plus it's cheaper and it takes less "stuff" than P90X, but it is only 30 days. It is perfect for anyone that plays sports, or at least wants to look like they play sports! Lots of sports-specific agility drills and things like that. It has this god-forsaken agility ladder that drives me crazy.
