St. Henry 55 Holy Cross 36

Featured Replies

Very good all around game by Taylor Gamm. Another great shooting night by Shannon O'Daniel. Gamm's drives to the basket got the Lady Cru jump started in the second quarter. O'Daniel's back to back threes to open the 3rd quarter buried HC. St. Henry was up 27-19 at the half and opened the 3rd quarter by scoring the first 7 points of the quarter. Overall a very sold performance for the Lady Cru, but they'll definitely need to raise their level of play on Friday against Ryle.

De'Asia Beal had a very good game for HC. She knocked down four NBA range 3's. Hard to believe she still has three years of high school ball left.

The best player on the floor all night long and that includes the Ryle vs. NCC game was Holy Cross Freshmen Beal. WOW what a player!

Congrats to the Crew!

Respectfully disagree with you. The game is about more than knocking down NBA range three's, the offensive end is only half the game. Stayed for both games and watched great efforts from many young ladies. Beal is a good player, no argument there, can't agree that "The best player on the floor all night long and that includes the Ryle vs. NCC game was Holy Cross Freshmen Beal." Great players find a way to bring out the best in their teammates and win games.

Good luck to all the Holy Cross girls, not sure who the seniors are.

Didn't really dial in the camera until this game ended but I will see the St. Henry group again on Friday. Good luck against Ryle.

I have to agree with crusaderfan. She is a great shooter but saw a few better all around performances tonight.

Mike is too funny. He was my point guard in High School.

Great win for the Lady Cru keep it going. Everybody raves about the boys program and Coach Faust every year, Coach Coburn and his team deserves some congrats too. Coach Coburn is building his own tradtions in Erlanger so keep it up. To him and the girls hope you win it all.

Beal needs to learn to pass.

That's a coach issue. Not a player issue.

The coach puts the ball in her hands and tells her to score/win the game. She's one of the top talents in the 9th on a very, very young inexperienced team.

High school basketball is a sport that lends itself to an undermanned team being dependent on a star player. "Passing" in and of itself isn't going to help HC win games.

Agree, the coach leans on his best player and I realize she is ONLY a freddy, which is astonishing and makes her upside so unbelievable. But, the best players find a way to make their team better and they need to have confidence in them. In the 4th quarter at the NDA game, even though the coach put the ball in her hands, he cannot make decisions for her. Teams collapse the lane against her which leaves both blocks and the wing open for clean looks to the basket. She needs to distribute the ball - better odds on an open shot than playing 1 vs. 5. Learning this will make her a better all round player.
