Great pictures Panda. Walton played a solid game tonight. It was the most energy they have played with since they got back from Richmond. Good luck against Simon on Thursday.

Even though Walton got the lead early on, it was still a very physical game (as evidenced by some of the pics). As always, good job paNDA!

Walton Verona and Simon Kenton should be a heck of a good game. Get out and see it if you can. SK will have the outside advantage and WV inside.

Good luck to both teams and good luck as well to Grant County next year.

I expected this game to be closer. Congrats to the Lady Bearcats.

So did I. Grant had terrible trouble when Walton went with the press. Did not space the floor properly and ended up just bringing more defenders to the ball. Then, the fouls started to mount for Grant, and a lot of the girls had to either sit or play very tentatively. Walton did a good job of finding the shooters, so Plunkett didn't get many looks (maybe 1 or 2?) from outside the arc. Grant really needed those to fall in order to open up the inside, because Dixon and Sandlin pretty much owned the paint on D.

Good luck to Walton. Should be a heck of a game on Thursday against Simon Kenton.

Always been a 9th Region guy with some ties to the 8th. Would like to make some games but certainly not all.

If I'm correct, the girls' 8th region tournament will be held at Simon Kenton this year. If so, that's a heck of a lot closer to some, than having to go to Shelby County. ('Course the people in Shelby County won't agree!) Might make it more convenient than in year's past.

Overall, Walton played a pretty good game. Grant County could not handle the pressure and turned it over too many times. IMO, Grant County underachieved this year. They have some talent but did not develop into a contender for the district. Good luck to the Lady Cats on Thursday.
