I honestly believe the coach from Simon Kenton now understands what I have said for the last week or so, about the difference in how the games are called from Region to Region. Every time a SK player walked tonight it was called, and when they drove to the basket a charge was called. In the 8th IMO those calls would never have been made with a 8th Region Stripe and it wouldn't be from home cooking, just a difference of calling a play.

Looks like Doss had a nice game. SK has an abundance of young guards and forwards in the pipeline and Doss could be a major player for them in '11.

The thing is the ref called the walk on both teams pretty much the entire game, so it wasn't a deciding factor of the game. Regardless of region the two refs that called this game were not the best, but they weren't one sided at all. Case in point is the technical foul that was called on the kid from Boone who received the head butt from the SK kid. If anything, they could have called double technical, but again the responder got hit with the "T". Good job Rebels on taking the JV tournament for the third year in a row.

congrats to boone! Future looks brigjht

A well played game by Boone. Their size and poise were too much for SK. A valiant comeback by the Pioneers after a horrible 2nd quarter with far too many turnovers.

Congrats to the Rebels!

I believe the Boone County JV team finished undefeated this season. Congratulations to Coach Downs and the Boone County program. Champions three years in a row in JV basketball is quite a statement.

I think it was just two years in a row and a runner up before that, but still good.

Scratch that. It WAS 3 years in a row and a runner up the season before that. Also won the freshman championship last year and the year before that.

boone jv team finished season 21 - 0.

It is only two. Three years ago NCC beat Cov Cath in the championship game.

OK, so runner up in 2007, champs in 2009 and 2010. Where did they finish in 2008?
